We meet to discuss your vision for the project. If you’re having trouble formulating a vision, Identity Interiors will help create a concept from which a design is developed.

We review existing conditions and items including the feasibility of adding new or reconfiguring existing spaces. Computer aided floor plans will be developed based on the design concept, site conditions and meetings with you.

A preliminary cost assessment is created. Please note: It is imperative to discuss costs early in the process for two reasons. First, a cost assessment determines the complexity of the design. Second, it helps determine what type of furniture, materials, etc. to select. We will help you make the smartest decisions based on this cost assessment.

We present to you various ways of configuring the spaces.

The furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) selection process begins. This is the visual part of the process that most people associate with interior design. We also select plumbing, light fixtures, tile, door types, hardware and accessories.

To help you better envision the space, we create elevations and perspectives showing transitions between materials.

After additional meetings with you, revisions and reselections to the floor plans, materials and finishes are made.
Construction documents are produced for bidding purposes.

During the bidding process, we will finalize furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) selections. We also create a more precise cost assessment for these items.

We will discuss the bids from the contractors and the cost assessment for FF&E and make any necessary changes. After this step is complete the work begins.
This is the way Identity Interiors generally works with clients. These steps may vary in content and order depending on the project.
